Rain Rain Go Away - Modesty Theory

Today was a dark and rainy day. I love the rain, the freshness and the atmosphere of a coming storm is beyond compare. But I don't like getting my feet soaked, especially when it rains mad hard. I get soaked right through my shoes, into my socks. And my jeans drenched up to my knees.... it is not a pleasant feeling, not to mention, my shoes get ruined and they take days to dry.
I do have rain boots but I refuse to wear them! They are kinda chunky and look like a big block of mud below my knees. And they are kinda tall for me o.o like, they come up to just below my knees. Makes me feel short. Instead of long and lean lines I get short and choppy ones :\
I normally opt for mid calf or ankle length boots just because I feel like they aren't chopping me up as much. So I don't know what I was thinking when I bought my current rain boots off ebay. They are sooo BLAHH.
