How I'd Wear It: Feminine Military - Modesty Theory
Do you like this story?
I'm in love with military style this season, there are just so many ways to wear this trend and it's so easy to make it your own.
Inspiration:
| Floral Camo Dress - Stella McCartney |
Tuxedo Blazer: Target
Tunic Top: Mandee
Cargo Skinnys: Mandee
Bronze Kitten Heels: Payless
Green Ombre Scarf: Mandee
Florals in camo colors put a new spin on the traditional, yet overdone, camo print. I mostly see feminine structures (dresses/skirts/flowy tops) in camo and solid olives or khakis to make a "feminine military" look. This look is different in that we've got masculine structures (skinnys/blazer) paired with a feminine print in classic military colors.

| Jumpsuit from HijabScarf Blog |
Shirtwaist Dress: Joyce Leslie
Belt: Kohls
Cargo Skinnys: Mandee
Sandals: Mandee
Leopard Print Scarf: Mandee
I've just discovered how well leopard print works with olives and army green. I feel like, in the above jumpsuit, the army green blazer adds structure and "tames" the wildness and fluidity of an allover leopard print. So in this look, we've got leopard and olives toned down with the khaki. And a little bit of tarnished gold for sparkle.
